Things to Do!

At any given time, PCM has a lot going on.  Below is a short explanation of everything we are doing.  (Check out the pictures page to see photos of everything!)  If you are interested in joining, please just get involved.  Either show up to a meeting or email Liz.  Drop-ins are always welcome and expected.

A Deeper Discipleship

New this year, many of the women who started off in the small group have found that after a while, they want something a little deeper with greater accountability and a deeper nurturing experience.  So, this fall we're starting a small group with an adult mentor who will work with one or two women to begin a deeper exploration of faith.   If you are interested, let Liz know.  You can only get into this group by invitation.

Men's Fellowship

New this year, the Men's group is a time for the men of campus ministry to pray with one another, bible study, and support one another.  This is being sponsored by the Men's Breakfast at WPC, and so it is also a good way to meet and work with older Christians.

Women's Small Groups

As in the past, the women will meet each week at Starbucks on High to discuss their week, their faith and pray for one another over coffee.  Liz will lead these groups.

Sundays @ Six

This is our weekly worship service for students.  It is held every Sunday night of the quarter at Summit United Methodist Church (one block off campus).   Worship is creative and includes contemporary music while keeping at the center the traditional values of faith, repentance, and growth.  Worship is followed by fellowship and dinner catered by a local family.  It is the best food you'll get all week!

Kirk Night!

New this year is Kirk Night on Thursdays.  This is a big event at WPC and we're going to bring students in on the action.  The evening starts with a meal at 5:30pm with the whole church.  Then the kids break off to go to Sunday School and the adults to Bible Study, Book Discussion, Choir, Bell Choir or a Prayer Service...  We are expecting over a hundred people!   You can participate in classes or teach Sunday School or help cook dinner, wherever you fit.   Rides will be provided.  Come for the whole night or just part of it.

PB&J Lunch

Every Wednesday from 11:30-1pm, we meet beside Mirror Lake or in the RPAC Lounge for PB&J, carrots and chips.  There is no program or lesson.  It is just a time to eat lunch with fellow Christians and relax.  Drop in any time to see Liz, eat lunch and enjoy the day.

Grad Student Group

Once a month or so, a group of Grad students get together to read a chapeter of a book and discuss it.  Recently, we've also started watching the West Wing together.  A great conversation starter!  Get connected with other grad students this way.

Leadership Team

Our leadership team meets once a week to discuss activities and plan.  If you are interested in becoming a peer minister or starting your own program, let Liz know.  We have funding available for students with good ideas.

Monthly Mission

Each month we do at least one service project  coorindated by a student.  We've volunteered at the Hospital, cleaned up the neighborhood, helped move the Ronald McDonald House, etc.  Sign up via email and at Sundays @ Six .

Monthly Fellowship

Each month we do something fun like go to the movies, hold a game night, go the symphony, etc.  We enjoy each other, we can't help it....
